Introducing Gizmo Builder! A Groundbreaking Mixed Reality, Open-Sandbox, Building Game.

Gamers can build and play, using cutting edge advances in Mixed Reality technology in this indie VR game, on sale starting today in the Meta Quest App Lab!

Sausalito, CA - September 7, 2022 - The team at independent developer Free Range Games is excited to announce the release of their third Virtual Reality game, Gizmo Builder, for the Meta Quest 2 on App Lab starting today for $9.99 USD. Players can build a limitless number of machines using over 80 different components in this sandbox building game. Gizmo Builder utilizes the latest advancements in Mixed Reality features on the Meta Quest 2 to bring the game to life: by scanning the room and any surfaces the player wishes to use, the player can incorporate their real world environment into their builds. Gizmo Builder welcomes players to push the boundaries of their imaginations - drop bowling balls from the top of their bookshelf, set off fireworks in their kitchen, or turn their desk into the ultimate pachinko machine.

“We still lose hours just building stuff in our own game, you get into a zen-like state and keep going. I’m extremely proud of what the team has accomplished with Gizmo Builder. It delivers on our company mantra of being a meaningful, memorable, and fun experience,” said Free Range Games CEO, Chris Scholz.

Gizmo Builder incorporates the latest tech advancements available in Meta Quest 2 headsets. This includes use of Spatial Anchors, which allows players build contraptions, save, and come back to them saved in the exact spot they left them. Hand Tracking is more accurate than ever, letting players noodle on their projects with great accuracy. And for those who don’t want to play in Mixed Reality, Gizmo Builder offers virtual backdrops that turn your real life space into vibrant, virtual rooms.
