A NEW
FRONTIER IN
VIDEO GAMES

Let's Build Some Worlds Together.

About Us

Free Range Games’ mission is to make video games that people find meaningful, memorable, and fun. To do so, we've assembled a diverse group of talented developers who are given the freedom and resources to unleash their full creative potential. We believe creative people make the best games in an environment of trust, transparency that encourages a healthy work-life balance. We come together as a team of artists, musicians, writers, philosophers, puppeteers, scientists and engineers with a common love for video games.

Established in 2009, and headquartered in Sausalito, California, Free Range Games was founded by veteran game developers and longtime collaborators. Many of us have worked together from PS1 to PS5. Our projects span across PC, console, mobile, web, VR, and AR platforms. From all that experience, we know that every member of the team has a voice.

Curious to hear yours.

About Us

We fully develop our own games like with The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria™.

We oftentimes work as an external developer on other folks' games.

Being sellswords keeps us sharp, we're the best mercs in all of California.

No matter the project, we deliver on the mantra that our games be meaningful, memorable, and fun.
